Strategic policy is a work guideline in the effort to direct and supervise the performance of UPT UIN Ar-Raniry Library in carrying out its main tasks, vision, mission and goals. Strategies for achieving each goal are used to determine the policy direction for the development of the Ar-Raniry UIN Library for the next five years. The strategy and policy direction for the development of the Ar-Raniry UIN Library is formulated based on the vision, mission, and strategic objectives of the Ar-Raniry UIN Library and refers to the Ar-Raniry UIN Strategic Plan. The strategy and direction of this policy are structured to provide direction and guidance for all elements in the Ar-Raniry UIN Library Unit which are involved in organizing and developing the Ar-Raniry UIN Library Unit. 1. Development Strategy of Ar-Raniry's UIN Library Unit a. Strategies for Achieving First Strategic Objectives The first strategic goal is to create the best learning environment (creating exceptional learning area). (1) provides access to innovative library services and extensive resources. UPT Library will provide access to resources and services that are relevant, trustworthy and barrier-free, accessible everywhere, anytime, and in accordance with the needs of users. (2) Design the layout of UPT Library both physically and online in harmony. UPT Library will ensure that open and flexible spaces that are conducive to reading and learning are designed in collaboration with users. (3) Improve the academic skills of librarians and digital skills to move quickly and accurately. UPT Library will integrate the skills of librarians to navigate today's complex information into media transfer so that it can be served quickly and relevant. (4) Professional management. Librarians will provide integrated services, utilizing a variety of skills, expertise, and their knowledge to provide optimal benefits to users. b. Strategies for Achieving the Second Strategic Objective The second strategic goal, namely to make UPT Library a very pleasant place to learn and complete academic tasks (being a place where people love to finish academic tasks and learn) (1) Making UPT Library as a community based on trust and fun. UPT Library will develop a mutually respectful relationship between librarians and librarians so as to enable the work of librarians to be fun, productive, and innovative and motivated librarians to communicate with librarians. (2) Contribution Based Rewards The UPT Library will value the diverse skill base of staff as the main resource and provide inclusive development and communication opportunities. Librarians have not received the same attention as other functional workers. (3) Foster staff confidence, without fear of embracing change with confidence and skills (fearlessly embrace change with confidence and skills). The UPT Library will motivate staff as agents of change, encourage and support them to build and share evidence-based experiences and knowledge. (4) Improve staff's ability to recognize risk as an opportunity to learn quickly. UPT Library will try new things and share experiences, both successes and failures with stakeholders. c. Strategies for Achieving Strategic Goals Third The third strategic objective, namely the creation of relevance between library collections with the needs of users. (1) The availability of 15 compulsory book titles for each course (2) The availability of 10 international journals and 20 accredited national journals. (3) The availability of 5 popular scientific magazines for each study program (4) The average number of mandatory book loans is 5 books per student in 1 month. (5) The number of downloads of scientific journal articles is 10 thousand pdf per month. d. Strategies for Achieving the Fourth Strategic Objective The fourth strategic objective, namely 90% of the Scientific Work of the Ar-Raniry UIN Community was uploaded in the Institutional Repository ( (1) All thesis and final project are uploaded to the Ar-Raniry UIN repository. (2) 80% of the journals published in UIN Ar-Raniry are stored at the UPT Library of U-Ar-Raniry. (3) The number of institutional repository accesses is 200 people per month. e. Strategies for Fifth Strategic Goals The fifth strategic goal is to achieve excellent service that meets minimum service standards. The strategic targets that will be pursued by UPT Ar-Raniry UIN Library are as follows: (1) UPT Library achieved accreditation A in 2020 (2) 90% of service units in the SOP library. (3) Increasing the capacity building of more competent and professional staff in the service sector (4) Improve the quality of information services in accordance with minimum service standards (5) Improving the quality of self-service services for users (6) Improve search facilities and information retrieval (7) Improving facilities and infrastructure that support improvements in services. (8) The level of user satisfaction with services is categorized as Very Good. (9) 60% of circulation services are carried out through self-service facilities. (10) The number of visitors increases by an average of 10% per month. (11) Number of borrowers book 2000 transactions per month. f. Strategies for Achieving the Sixth Strategic Objective The sixth strategic objective is the achievement of certified librarian competencies. (1) 80% of librarians at UPT UIN Ar-Raniry Library have been certified in 2022 (2) 90% of librarians achieve excellent performance. (3) Organizing annual work meetings and evaluations. g. Strategies for Achieving Seventh Strategic Objectives The seventh strategic objective is to present a standard, comfortable, safe, innovative and inspiring space for learning, discussing, and exploring the UPT Library collection. (1) Adding study rooms and services on vacant land behind UPT Library which is based on variative services and user needs; (2) Providing space and facilities and infrastructure in accordance with the type and volume of the collection. (3) The collection room must provide free space for users to browse and access information; (4) Installing space with various learning tools based on users need.
